What happens in October 1914?

October: Albert Einstein, Georg Friedrich Nikolai, Wilhelm Foerster and Otto Buek sign the Aufruf an die Europäer, an anti-militaristic response to the Manifest der 93 (published in September).

9 October: Siege of Antwerp.

28 October: Sentencing of those involved in the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria.

30 October: Death of poet and academic Ernst Stadler (b.1883).
